Crawforddyke Helping hands organises a number of fundraising activities throughout the year. We raise money to support the work of the school providing opportunities for parents and carers to get involved in the school or just to have some fun. New volunteers are always welcome.
We have a fundraising coordinator who leads, organises and coordinates the running of our events. As we navigate our way through these unusual times we are looking at a variety of options to support new fundraising activities to meet with current Government Guidelines on social distancing and school recovery planning. How do we raise money? Examples of fundraisers and events organised include:
Where does the money go? Funds raised have helped to fund the following:
Helping hands has been growing from strength to strength over the years thanks to the help of many volunteers who run clubs, help run activities or just pop along to the various events. We are always looking for new ideas and people to run with them. If you have any ideas or would like to get more involved in the Fundraising please get in touch! |
Fundraising News - 2020/21
Mar 2021 - Fundraising focus We are looking to spend some monies on improving our playgrounds through the implementation of playground markings; Children have voted on their favourites and we are collating quotes as we speak. In supporting our lottery and any other fundraising activities you are helping us to be able to purchase these and other items that the school would not normally be able to afford. We thank you for your continued support. Lesley Mooney - Chair Feb 2021 - Your School Lottery Our School Lottery continues to go from strength to strength! We have a new promotion for our 'Your School Lottery'. You could also be in with the chance for a £500 bike voucher as well as the jackpot and our weekly school prize. If you have your tickets purchased for up coming draws, we thank you very much; if you haven't or your tickets purchases have lapsed then please think about renewing to help us to continue to raise funds. We have had 16 draws, with school winners each winning circa £30 each week and we have raised an amazing £664.40 for Crawforddyke School funds since our launch in November. We are very pleased with how this has gone in such uncertain times; times that we are not quite yet out of and with restrictions still in place we continue to rely on these virtual fundraising activities to bring in funds for the school. https://www.yourschoollottery.co.uk/.../crawforddyke... Dec 2020 - Christmas raffle Whilst we were not able to hold our Christmas Fair in December we were able to hold an online Prize draw which raised a fantastic £641.21 for the school funds. Thanks to all the local businesses and our parents and carers again for their support and prize donations. Oct 2020 - Halloween Scavenger Hunt Treat not trick this year as children enjoyed a Halloween dress down day, scavenger hunt and each had a goodie bag to take home them. "Our Halloween Treasure Hunt wasn’t just great fun, it also taught our pupils to persevere, work together and solve problems! We can’t thank our PC enough for making our day extra special!"
